You were born on Mother's Day!
You were two weeks late...
labor was quick
We couldn't of had a more perfect day!
The Lord truly blessed us beyond belief!
We had a few other names picked out....
But for some reason someone whispered into my spirit and said  Sarah!
"Princess"
I say someone because I did not yet know HIM!
We were young, in the military with no family around.
I got only 30 days off from work!!
I had to recover, heal, rest and look for a sitter for our precious girl
I was terrified, worried, and a nervous wreck!
We found an Air Force wife
She was great!
I went back to work but only thought of you all day long!
Couldn't wait to get off work everyday to pick you up!!
But one day you woke up with your eye a little droopy.
The nurse and doctor said not to worry.
Well, I did worry!
After tests, sleepless nights and numerous doctor visits we finally found a doctor that told us that you had Horner's Syndrome.  Probably happened at birth and you would outgrow it. 
We prayed and prayed!
The Lord is so gracious and merciful that he healed you without us even knowing HIM!
We have watched you grow and blossom into a beautiful young woman and we couldn't be prouder!
We ask ourselves how did we get so blessed?
What did we ever do to gain such favor with the Lord?
We accept it and  give thanks daily!

Happy Birthday Sarah!  We love you and are so very proud of you and all that you have accomplished in your 28 years.  Our prayer is that you are blessed, have prosperity, wisdom, guidance, direction, protection, a good, long, healthy, life with a fantastic marriage and lots of little ones!

My Mothers's Day

We had a glorious day!  Thanks Sarah and Kevin so much for the wonderful dinner of delish lasagna, bread, and salad.  Dessert was awesome too!  That was so very thoughtful of you.  I know you spent a lot of time and I truly appreciate it sooo much. 

In my garden

Gardening is hard work, at least the prep is.  We have our fruit in a raised bed and the veggies in the ground.  Although I wish it were the other way around. 

Take a peek at what's growing!

I had to move this one inside.  I had 4 teeny tiny avocados on there and the next day they were gone! So now it is on my back porch

We have a few baby peppers!

Blueberries from last year that came up this year!  I hope they last because the birds love them as much as we do :D

The fig I bought as Walmart last night.  I decided to put it on my back porch in case an animal likes it to.

Various herbs on the back porch.  They got a good haircut last week and already they are growing quickly

My baby lettuce looks so cute, but I know the soil looks yucky....

Strawberries from last year too!

Cherry tomatoes are coming in also.

This year we decided to go for a lasagna type garden.  Which means layering of the soil, compost, mulch and on the very bottom layer we layed down newspaper.  This is supposed to be a good method according to the guy who's whole yard is edible.  We will see!

It is also Earth Day, but I choose to say that it is Good Friday! After all it is He who died and rose again for US.  Not the earth!! He created the earth and all that is in it.

You were born on  Easter Sunday in Hawaii.  You were late but when you were ready to come into this world you came fast.  So fast that Dad wasn't there to see you!
When he did see you for the first time he didn't think you were his with your head full of dark hair and dark skin.  I was so happy that we had a little girl that looked like the "Garza's."
We instantly fell in LOVE!!
Your favorite place as a little girl was the kitchen, seeing what you could eat.  Now you love the kitchen to see what you can create!
We pray that you have a Blessed Year filled with health, prosperity, and wisdom
Do not neglect the gift that is in YOU!!

Gardening, GrandPrix

We had a great weekend gardening and GrandPrix

Our garden that Ernie and I planted.  The raised one on the right has fruit ie, blueberries, raspberries, and grapes.  To the right of the garden we just planted lettuce, spinach and eggplant. 

Little House in downtown NPR

We heard about this guy who has a totally organic, edible garden and sells his lettuce.  So we decided to check it out

Here is his lettuce!

He wasn't at home, but we browsed around. I've heard that he sells it for $1 per bag and you get a lot. I will be going again next Saturday.

Dear Lord,  help me to see what You have for me today and everyday.  You are all powerful and anything and everything is possible with you.  Help me to be content with what You want for me!  Give me eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to follow.  Help me to find my God given talent.  Teach me to bring everything to You from the smallest to the biggest conern.  In Jesus name Amen!!

Happy Spring Time

It has been glorious here in the Sunshine state!  I'm loving it, my dogs are loving it and the flowers, herbs and plants are loving it!

Jerry has been able to be on the porch without it being too hot or too cold

Making Honey!  Our tree has been loaded with bees!

The herbs are blasting!

Spring just so happens to be my favorite time of the year, even though my allergies go crazy.  God is so good to give us all this gloriousness.  His evidence is everywhere.
