Boca Grande

Our weekend getaway was just what we needed!  We left Friday afternoon and made it down to Boca around  dinnertime.  Check out the beauty....

We stayed at the Innlet at Gasparilla Island in Boca.  You have pay to get onto the island.  So, you should probably have everything you need if you want to avoid the $5 fee, more if your pulling a boat.....The more comfortable people in our society reside there.  Very beautiful but very expensive. 

This is why we went, so hubby and little E could Tarpon fish.  Little E hooked one but after a fight, he got loose.  Check out the people on the boats.  There were at least 4 or more people per boat.  The boats had to really work to not hit each other.

While they fished I biked the entire island from point to point practically.  This guy was very interested in someone's Corona bottle.

This guy was so cute waiting for his owner.  People drive their golf carts or bikes everywhere.  This guy came on the golf cart with his owner.

This was interesting! I wonder what kind of jawbone?

It was a wonderful weekend, but so nice to be home.

I will be starting a new bible study tonight with some peeps from work. Unveiling the mysteries of a woman's heart.   This one looks interesting!  This will take us through the summer months.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Nook Color or Kindle

To get the Nook or Kindle?   I got the Nook Color for my birthday from my kids and hubby.    Chick 1 researched, talked to a lot of people, and shopped around till she finally settled on the Nook.  Her friends that have The Kindle love it, and her friends that have The Nook love it.  The deciding factor was that Nook allows you to borrow ebooks from the library.  I love that feature.  As Sarah knows I am frugal and even though I love books, I don't like to buy them too much.  Right now I have 16 books on my Nook shelf.  I can read my email, check on Facebook, search the web and read!  The other beauty is that it is in color.  Love that feature!  I still love the feel and smell of a good book in my hands, but I am thinking that I will get real comfortable with my Nook.  Which do you prefer?

You were born on Mother's Day!
You were two weeks late...
labor was quick
We couldn't of had a more perfect day!
The Lord truly blessed us beyond belief!
We had a few other names picked out....
But for some reason someone whispered into my spirit and said  Sarah!
"Princess"
I say someone because I did not yet know HIM!
We were young, in the military with no family around.
I got only 30 days off from work!!
I had to recover, heal, rest and look for a sitter for our precious girl
I was terrified, worried, and a nervous wreck!
We found an Air Force wife
She was great!
I went back to work but only thought of you all day long!
Couldn't wait to get off work everyday to pick you up!!
But one day you woke up with your eye a little droopy.
The nurse and doctor said not to worry.
Well, I did worry!
After tests, sleepless nights and numerous doctor visits we finally found a doctor that told us that you had Horner's Syndrome.  Probably happened at birth and you would outgrow it. 
We prayed and prayed!
The Lord is so gracious and merciful that he healed you without us even knowing HIM!
We have watched you grow and blossom into a beautiful young woman and we couldn't be prouder!
We ask ourselves how did we get so blessed?
What did we ever do to gain such favor with the Lord?
We accept it and  give thanks daily!

Happy Birthday Sarah!  We love you and are so very proud of you and all that you have accomplished in your 28 years.  Our prayer is that you are blessed, have prosperity, wisdom, guidance, direction, protection, a good, long, healthy, life with a fantastic marriage and lots of little ones!

My Mothers's Day

We had a glorious day!  Thanks Sarah and Kevin so much for the wonderful dinner of delish lasagna, bread, and salad.  Dessert was awesome too!  That was so very thoughtful of you.  I know you spent a lot of time and I truly appreciate it sooo much.
