You have no idea how happy this makes me! You have accomplished great things with your life...and you don't even realize it! You are so talented and have been blessed with wonderful attributes. If it weren't for you getting out of the navy, Bree, Steph, and I would have had a totally different childhood and none of the wonderful memories we cling so dearly to today. Yes, we may have had a good life, but we would have saw less of you, less of Gigi, and may have lived a life that led us away from the Lord instead of towards him.
ReplyDeleteEli may have never been here. Bree would not have met Jeremy, and therefore there would have been no Tate, Isaiah, or Mack. Steph may have never met John, nor me Kevin. All of your lifes decisions have had a tremendous impact on where Bree, Steph, and I are at in our lives today.
Take life one step at a time. Don't look back, look forward. You still have lots of time to continue to do great things with your life. It is so easy for all of us to get caught up in our daily routines, the monotonies of life, and complain and think that we have it so hard. We often wish things were different or dream of winning the lottery, dream of what life could be like. I am guilty of this as well, but God has been showing me lately that we are INCREDIBLY BLESSED. Reading "No longer a Slumdog" has made me feel so guilty for wishing for such things as winning the lottery. We have so much that we take for granted...nice homes, warm beds to sleep in, unlimited supplies of great food, transportation, the ability to roam the streets freely and to make our own decisions about what we want to do with our lives. If we were in the middle east, you would not be able to do what you are about to embark on now.
I love you and am so proud of you! God has been with you in every stage of your life, he has guided your life path and has been with you with all of the major decisions you have faced. Don't live in regret and wish things were different...he has held your hand through all of your decisions, he has guided your path. Only he knows the future and because of that, he knows what is best for you now and always.
